Favorite Music Band: Portishead

One of my favorite music band it is Portishead. They came from Bristol, England. In the early 90's, the electronic and hip-hop music became in other way to do music call trip hop, who it's original from Bristol, and mix element from both genres creating a fascinating sound who explore the exceptional and mysterious atmosphere with poetic and sensible lyrics. In this way, the vocalist, Betty Gibbons, has inspired in greatest poets like Sylvia Plath and give mesmerizing performances with an incredible voice and interpretation.

With Betty Gibbons in the band, they are also two great guys: Geoff Barrow (co-founder) and Adrian Utley (guitar).

Between their songs, the most famous are RoadsAll mine and Glory Box. About the music itself, they song are unmistakable because the sound it’s really unique.

Before them, there are another band who its pioneer in trip hop called Massive Attack, also from Bristol and singers like Tricky.

I choose them between a list of favorite bands and singers, like David Bowie, Beastie Boys, Queen, Pulp, Mogwai, Bjôrk, etc.,  and I really don`t know which one choose, so I just flip a coin.

I listen for first time at high school (2005) and I really love it since them.

In the link below you can listen one of my favorite song, call Wandering Star.

Enjoy!
